1998 MLB Draft
A familiar high school pitcher -- Juan Carlos Di Napoli -- was drafted first overall by the Devil Rays. He won the Justin Zygmunt Award in the NCHSAA three out of four years and finished 3rd the other. He also twice finished second in the Lester Taylor MVP voting.
Connor Greenwald was the first hitter taken, a college outfielder with a great eye.
