Jackson Miller snapped a 2-2 tie with a two-run home run off St. Louis starting pitcher Jimmy Lambert in the top of the sixth inning and Des Moines went on for a 4-2 win at Busch Stadium (1997).
Glenn Santiago had led off the sixth with a single, and Miller followed with his home run hitting a 2-2 pitch some 378 feet over the wall in right field.
Homers helped score all of the game's runs.
Alex Freeland staked the Harvesters to a 2-0 lead when he took Lambert deep for a two-run shot in the second inning.
The River Walkers tied it in the third when Carlos Vidal poked a two-run blast off Des Moines starter Sixto Sanchez.
Sanchez worked just four innings, alllowing two runs on two hits.
Yelin Rodriguez (1-0) handled the next two innings and came out of it with a win.
Jon Olsen, Albert Hernandez and Omar Benitez all pitched an inning apiece.
For Benitez, he earned his 34th save of the season.
