Walkers news: Sept. 18 -- Des Moines 3, St. Louis 2

Record: 85-63, 1st, 4.5 GA Des Moines
Carlos David Martinez and pinch-hitter Tyler Callihan both had RBI singles to highlight a two-run top of the seventh inning as Des Moines rallied for a 3-2 win over St. Louis at Busch Stadium (1997).
Down 2-1, Rafael Devers got things moving in the top of the seventh with a one-out single off River Walkers starting pitcher Adonis Medina.
Williams Jerez replaced Medina and struck out Alex Freeland for the second out.
But the Harvesters rapped out three consecutive singles -- from Austin Meadows, Rodriguez and Callihan -- to plate the two runs which would give them the lead.
A two-run homer from Rhys Hoskins in the bottom of the second inning of Des Moines starter Nick Pivetta had put the River Walkers up 2-1.
Pivetta handled the first five innings, giving up two runs on two hits. He struck out four and walked one.
Reyes Moronta and Bryan Garcia handled the sixth and seventh innings, respectively.
Moronta (7-1) would earn his seventh win of the season.

The final two belonged to rookie Juan Amezquita, who posted his first save in the majors.
