If you play as "commissioner mode" Go to-->MANAGER-->OPTIONS-->Play mode (check commissioner mode) then go to your player screen
Go to-->EDIT-->Column CONTRACT at the bottom Change Current team and Contracted to then upright SAVE
It should fix your problem for now but it will have to be fix within the game.
