It was thrilling walk-off win against the Padres on the first game of the series. Kolby Allard had another rough outing and he has not been what I expected when we traded for him. McGrath had a good relief outing by going 3 scoreless innings. The offense came alive and we carried a 2 run lead to the top of the ninth. David Phelps was in charge of the ninth but he gave up 2 runs and the Padres tied the game. But at the bottom of the ninth Daniel Murphy had a walk-off single to give us the win. Turner, Murphy, and Wong all had homers.

Juan Soto had another great game offensively and had two solo shots. He has now 18 and is leading the team in that category. Victor Robles also went deep with a man on base.
