Post 2021 Week 18. (63-41)

W, (6-5) @Great American Ball Park
We took the first game of this road series vs the Reds thanks to a late-inning rally. Rick Porcello had a decent outing until the seventh inning in which he gave up a grand slam to J.P Crawford. Nevertheless, the offense did their job and managed to score 4 runs in the last innings. Juan Soto“s home run in the ninth was the decisive run. Wong, Turner, and Kieboom also went deep. Brad Hand recorded his 23rd save of the year.

W, (9-3) @Great American Ball Park
Another great performance by Scherzer led us to our 61st win of the season. Max had seven innings of one-run baseball. The run came thanks to an Evan White Home run. Nevertheless, Max punched out 10 rivals for the 10th time this season. Kieboom got the offense going by going deep in the third inning and he has already doubled his home run total of last year. Zimmerman went deep as well and he has 8 on the season.

Roster Moves
We“ve signed veterans C Francisco Cervelli and 2B Ehire Adrianza to minor league deals.

We took the first game of the series against Atlanta thanks to a nice team effort. McGrath started but gave up 5 runs in 3 innings. The pen bailed him out of the bad outing and managed to throw 6 innings of 2-hit shutout baseball. Brad Hand earned yet another save. There were no homers in the offense but Wong was named player of the game as he went 4 for 6 with a couple of runs batted in.

W, (8-0) @Sun Trust Park
We had a shutout win thanks to a great performance by Garret Richards, Wander Suero, and David Phelps. The three pitchers combined to allow just 3 hits, 1 base on balls and punch out 8 rivals. The offense had some run support for their pitchers thanks to some good performances from their best men. Kieboom went deep and he is up to 19th homers. Soto had a 2 for 4 day with four runs batted in.
