L, (2-3) @Nationals Park
We dropped the first game of the short series against Tampa after a good performance by opposing starter Tyler Glasnow. Scherzer struck out 9 and gave up 3 runs in seven innings for us.

Blockbuster trade as the Boston Red Sox´s sent Andrew Benintendi and a minor leaguer to the New York Yankees. They received starting pitcher Kevin Gausman

We won this one-run affair to end this 2-game series in a split. Michael Taylor, Juan Soto, and Ryan Zimmerman went deep for us. Graveman threw six innings and allowed 3 runs and our big arms in the pen (Hand and Adams) struggled a bit and each gave up a run.

League News
Adisson Russel was acquired by the Marlins from the Braves
Pedro Baez was acquired by the Dodgers from the Reds

W, (5-3) @Nationals Park
It was a decent outing for McGrath who went six innings and allowed three runs. The bullpen took care of the rest and kept the Mets scoreless for the final innings. The offense was powered thanks to a couple of homers by Daniel Muphy and Trea Turner.

League News
Toukie Toussaint was traded from the Braves to the Phillies in exchange for catcher Deivy Grullon.
Jimmy Nelson was acquired by the Rockies from the Orioles
Jon Lester was traded from the Rays to the Braves in exchange for Travis D'Arnaud.

Moustakas had a great game for the Mets by going deep two times against Richards but we managed to prevail and take game 2 of the series. Richards allowed 3 runs in five innings and the bullpen struggled a bit but we won the game. Juan Soto and Daniel Murphy both went deep to help us secure a tough game.

W, (11-8) @Nationals Park
We took care of the third game of the series against the Mets. It was a slugfest as there were 7 home runs in the game. Murphy, Wong, Turner, and Soto went deep for us and reliever Shane Greene was tagged with the loss. Austin Adams has not found his groove since arriving in D.C and he gave up a 3 run shot to Michael Conforto on the seventh inning.

L, (5-7) @Nationals Park
We dropped the final game of the series in extras. Adams and German struggled for us and allowed 4 runs in the top of the 12th inning. Starlin Castro went deep on the bottom of that same inning to try an epic comeback but that was not enough.
