W, (8-5) @Citizens Bank Park
4 runs in the 9th inning helped us win the first game of the series against the Phillies. Patrick Corbin gave up 4 runs in 4 innings. The bullpen recovered from that and allowed just one run on the middle and final innings. Brad Hand earned his 31st save of the year. Carter Kieboom was named player of the game as he went 3 for 4 with a home run. Murphy went deep and he has a 3 game home run streak.

W, (13-7) @Citizens Bank Park
Starlin Castro had an amazing game and went 3 for 3 with 3 home runs, 5 runs batted in and a base on balls. Trevor Bauer starter for us and went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. James Bourque, who is having a bad season, allowed 4 more runs. Nevertheless, the offense was amazing. Besides the three home runs by Castro, Murphy, Turner, and Soto also went deep.

L (5-6) @Citizens Bank Park
Brad Hand had a bad final inning and allowed 3 runs, blowing his second save of the season. Scherzer started for us and went 7 innings whilst striking out 9 rivals. Jason Castro had a three-run homer in the second inning.

Roster Moves
Stephen Strasburg has recovered from a torn labrum and will be part of the active roster after 4 months. He will go to the bullpen for a few games. James Bourque was demoted.

We won the first game of a doubleheader against the Cardinals thanks to another great performance by Rick Porcello. Porcello went eight innings and allowed just 6 hits. Austin Adams handle the final inning to secure the shutout. Juan Soto went deep and recorded his 37th homer of the year, a season-high for him.

We won the second game of the day thanks to a great offensive performance by Trea Turner. Turner went 4 for 4 with 2 home runs and 4 runs batted in. Richards started and went 6.1 innings allowing 4 runs. Strasburg threw again and he worked for 1.1 innings allowing one base on balls and punching out 2.

Another great performance by our offense allowed us to win the game and secure the NL east title!!!! Patrick Corbin had a great start by going 8 innings and allowing 3 runs. McGrath gave up 2 in the ninth but the game was already decided. Turner, Robles, and Castro went deep for us.

L, (3-6) @Busch Stadium
We lost the final game of the series after Jack Flaherty had a complete game for the Cardinals. He allowed 3 runs in 9 hits and punched out 9. Our pitching staff was batted around and Bauer was tagged with the loss. Daniel Murphy went deep for his 30th homer of the year.
