1976 SJL MVP is Bud Lindsay!
The feeling around the league has long been that if San Antonio's talented shortstop and team captain Bud Lindsay could only stay healthy for a full season he would eventually capture an MVP award. And 1976 was that season. Lindsay is that rare 5-tool infielder and one of the best leaders in the game but in his 5-year career this is only the second time he has been able to stay healthy enough to record more than 500 plate appearances, and the first time was his Rookie of the Year season in 1972. The only other player in the SJL to get any first place votes was last year's Rookie of the Year award winner, Philadelphia's Xiao-mei Mah.
