The Denver Brewers of the W.P. Kinsella League
A new year has begun, as the calendar turns to 1977, and the organizations in the W.P. Kinsella League are starting to look forward to pitchers and catchers reporting in about a month and a new season not long after.
The Denver Brewers find themselves coming off a 104 win season that ended in disappointment against the mighty Columbus Whalers in the Kinsella Classic Series.
But with young emerging stars like Joe McPhillips and Brett Taranto, a deep rotation anchored by ace Sadahige Kawasaki, great defense up the middle, and good leadership, especially from long-time team captain Matt Helm, the Brewers enter 1977 once again confident of their ability to contend.
We will dispense with any WPK history lessons here as all has been well documented (and can be found by clicking on the links in my signature below).
Instead let's begin the next leg of our journey into the unknown but promising future of the WPK. Hope you enjoy the ride. I know I will!
