I'd take this away in FHM7. Keep me as the national coach. Yes, this is more realistic, but if I want realistic, I can retire after the tournament and wait for a new offer.
Either this, or let us take over national teams within a savegame, just like it's possible for club teams. This was also possible in Eastside Hockey Manager, and that game is old.
There is no downside to my two options. Everyone can handle it how they want. With the current option, however, you are limited.
