I'm pleased, but not surprised, that you would show personal concern for a problem reported by a small niche of your fan base. Class, as always, sir.
As it turned out, the problem was outdated verbiage on the error message. What actually happened was I had reached 30 on my Friends List, but the "10" that the error message showed threw me into a bit of a panic. Once I got back to the limit, everything was fine.
Since I seem to have caught your ear, my simple request for Friends List would be for the teams to be distributed evenly through the divisions in turn, that is one per division up to six, then two per division up to 12, then three per, etc. until the Friends List group is exhausted.
I play PT as part of Our League (OL), a small, but fairly dedicated group who use a simple set of rules, no live cards, and the honor system and compete against each other for Our League crowns, and battle against the rest of PT to uphold OL honor.
We have, perhaps, the liveliest, and, certainly, the most contributed to thread on Perfect Team. If you get a chance, read through a bit. I think you'll enjoy it. You're welcome to join.
Again, thanks for your sincere concern, and your wonderful game. I have to admit, I originally bought OOTP only to support the company as an FHM player (which gets better all the time), and did not play it until Perfect Team, which I didn't really embrace until Our League formed.
I have begun to run some long tern historical sims (in challenge mode, of course) and have a Braves sim running into it's third decade which has revealed your game to be an achievement worthy of the great praise it gets. I believe over the weeks I have been award 8 or 9 card packs, a nice little perk for something I'm doing for fun.
My, I do run on. Call it old man privilege, but one final thing. As a person in his late 60's, who had completely lost interest in baseball, thanks for providing a memory filled diversion in the current uncertain times, and during normal times as well.
I would place you, your game, and the company you seem to have formed around it on an equal footing with Hal Richmond, if an old Strat-O-Matic player might be able to drop a name here. Believe me, that is the highest praise I feel I can offer, and it is well deserved.
