I've now uploaded my save. It's titled "Future Sen AndreSod."
1: Most of the disgruntled players are no longer on the team, but currently the player called Youngman for example is unhappy because of negotiations. 10 months after re-signing. And Adam Mikes is upset about negotiations 2 years after signing his current contract. Other, throughout this save, players have been at that status for several years.If they realize after signing they're underpaid maybe it should be re-phrased to "unhappy with contract," though I don't get the feeling you want a feature like that.
2: I've had issues similar to what you describe before but this is not it. I'm pretty sure it's not an issue that can be solved by doing the right thing in game. The player, last name Kohn, can say things like reminding I've lowered my offer but in the same sentence ask for an even _lower_ number. "Ask for response" never leads to a satisfied answer that enables "submit offer" even if I click "meet demand" or even go above his demand. A stand out issue is how he wants the role "offensive forward" even though that's what I'm offering. If I change the role to something else he comes back to wanting that role, but the game doesn't acknowledge that I'm actually offering him the role he want. Something is clearly bugged.
