Second thing is that I've drafted two players in the CHL import draft and both don't want do Canada, I might have just bad luck here but normally that's not realistic at all. Players who get drafted in the import draft are in contact with the team before the draft and only get selected if they have the intention to play overseas. When you look on elite prospects there are a some unused draft picks and >90% of the players who get drafted are playing overseas the next season.

Most of it is due to Birthdates. You likely have some 19s turning 20 who will put you over.
