In the bottom of the fifth, Williams brought Jeter home with a two-out infield single and we were tied once again. Tino Martinez came to bat next and he punished his former team once again, sending a two-run homer 405 feet to give the Yankees the lead.

In the top of the seventh, Wilson tied the game with a 407 foot two-run bomb. With the bases empty and nobody out, Darren Holmes took the mound for the Yankees.
In the top of the eighth, with the bases empty and one out, Graeme Lloyd took the mound for the Yankees. One out later, Jeff Nelson took the mound for the Yankees.
In the bottom of the eighth, Paul Spoljaric took the mound for the Mariners.
In the top of the ninth, Mariano Rivera took the mound for the Yankees.
In the bottom of the ninth, Mike Timlin took the mound for the Mariners. With runners at second and third and two out, Williams grounded right back to the pitcher. And Timlin threw the ball away! Pinch runner Homer Bush scored from third to end the game.
