I watch one game a week. I sim the other days in Real-Time Simulation at 300 speed, and I usually keep a sharp eye on it to catch any kind of cool events that might happen. I make sure to check the standings at the end of each day.
I do RTS for the playoff games until the World Series. I watch every World Series game.
All of that keeps me immersed enough to where I feel like I know what's going on in my league.
