Every face gen is loaded without issue and they're loaded quickly. Before, it would stutter a bit when scrolling the mouse through the names for the popups.

I've had this same problem and setting the AV exclusion (Windows Defender) seems to have helped. I am in the off-season now and will update if there is still a problem in the regular season.
