26 April 2296 - News and Notes

Today in the CBO

News and Notes - Reports from around the Commonwealth

26 April 2296 - CBO, Nuka-Cola Make Partnership

Nuka-Cola founder John-Caleb Bradberton has announced a partnership with the Commonwealth Baseball Organization for future sponsorships for the league. This also includes a concessions deal with Nuka-Cola products.

In a joint announcement, both Bradberton and CBO commissioner Nate Howard via holotape announced that Nuka-Cola will be investing caps into the league coffers for the purpose of expanding the CBO's influence in the Commonwealth and beyond.

"I am sorry I cannot be in Salem in person today," Howard stated through a holotape played over the stadium speakers. "However, I want to thank Mr. Bradberton, along with the named brands of Nuka-Cola and Nuka-World, in his vested interest in the league and its future. We will maintain a solid partnership with further announcements whenever I can meet with him to negotiate more deals. It is encouraging that he is interested in this new form of entertainment in the Commonwealth, and we look to a beautiful friendship."

Said Bradberton, "Nuka-Cola has always been about getting its image out there. We want to use the CBO as a way for us to market throughout the Commonwealth and bring our brand to every stadium in the CBO as an official sponsor. Starting next month, bulk orders of Nuka-Cola and all of its derivative flavors will be shipped directly to the 24 stadiums of the Sea Baseball Organization."

He was later corrected that the 'C' stood for 'Commonwealth,' not 'Sea.' Also in attendance was CBO artist Erin Reische, whose artwork inspired all 24 baseball uniforms in the CBO. She said that the uniforms had a different design than the old major league uniforms because they "looked like they belonged in the 19th century, not the 21st." She then designed a more modern look, which she hopes to expand upon.

Said Reische, "Mr. Howard asked me to delay redesigning CBO uniforms unless teams change names or colors. For now, he did ask me to accompany Mr. Bradberton and his lovely wife, Mrs. Petrovita, while working on some new ideas. I worked on three team uniforms, which we will unveil, but I will wait for Mr. Howard to tell you more details."

Models showed off the home and away versions of the uniforms, though Bradberton and Reische did not give away more details. We did overhear Sierra Petrovita, Bradberton's wife, stating, "It will be fun to watch baseball at Nuka World."

We also were told that two of the uniforms were related to the two teams playing in Salem this weekend, the Witch Hats and the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys, though we do not know to what capacity. Both uniforms indicated settlements west of here, Breakheart Banks and Greentop Nursery. Also, currently Nordhagen Beach's team is sponsored by Red Rocket, while Salem has no sponsor.

According to the uniform unveil, the teams were called the Nuka-Cola Cherry (red shoulders) and Nuka-Cola Grape (purple shoulders), the Breakheart Banks Wasteland Whisperers, and the Greentop Nursery Red Rockets.

We will tell you more as we learn more information.
