Thanks so much for the response. As for this experience -> " I discovered on April 8 that $7.5 million worth of such contracts were all on my payroll. If you go back to your April 22 save I guarantee that's what you'll see. They're not even on your 40 man, you're just on the hook for all the money." Not sure I'm seeing the same thing. My payroll had reflected their "possible major league cost the entire time, because as soon as I signed them all to minor league contracts with major league options" --- all my money for free agents drained away. So It seems like their "potential money" has always been reflected. As I started trading some away, I saw my payroll climb again.

As for the ones still on my AAA team, I didn't think about your suggestion #2 or 4 ... good ideas!!!

Let me rephrase my overall question one more way.

Has it already "COST" me anything to keep these players through my current game date (other than their Major league option contract pro-rated to a "few" days since it's only been a "few" days since the 30-day date?

Has it really cost me anything yet besides that?
