I don't believe they should count towards any payroll numbers, but would have to see screenshots of the relevant financial pages to know for sure. I believe they may show up on the player salary page under the full amount, if you looked at your actual projected player expenses, they would not be counted there.

The issue is happening where if you sign a guy to a MiLB contract w/MLB option, you get the message that you cannot option them because they have a MLB contract is back. I signed a bunch of guys before spring training and when I went to option them (not on 40 man roster) it would not let me do it, the contract shows a Minor League Contract but they do count towards your salary if you try and release them.
