Cap Obligations is right, but it's only taking it account players who are currently on the NHL roster. So when someone signs an extension, it moves it slightly. Or it's somewhat hard to predict if you have someone signed to say an Entry Level Deal, putting the cap hit on doesn't make sense because if you still can send them back to the CHL then the contract doesn't appear on the books. This also affects how a players affects your cap if they are playing on a two way contract, or even if you've buried a one way in the minors.
