Time to introduce you all to the Colorado Fourteeners' manager as best as I can, I think, folks. I will have to get a picture or pictures of him to show you later, if and whenever possible. Here is at least a basic profile of Jon Wilcox as I imagine him to be, however, for your perusal and consideration, if not an especially in-depth one, at the present time.

Jon Wilcox has been the manager of the Colorado Fourteeners for about a year, and has been in baseball as a coach and a so-so former player of amateur baseball for about two years, more or less. He was kept in the States during the war because he was his parents' only living child of three, two having died by the time World War II broke out, one in childhood, and the other in a car crash shortly before the war broke out. He is still single, and he often keeps to himself off the field whenever he can, for various reasons mainly known only to only to him and certain other people in his life at this time. He doesn't talk often when he doesn't have to, either.

Jon was born on February 19, 1912 in Oakland, California, to Leo, a professor in his forties, and Cora, an actress in her thirties, as the last child of three for his family. He has been a rather quiet and rather private person in his life, even after going to college in Wyoming, and being graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1934. He spent the years between his college graduation and his last sibling's death working as a farmhand for various people all over the Great Plains. When his last sibling died, their wife and children went to live with his wife's family, not having good relations with Leo and Cora. He took in Leo and Cora, and they now live with him on a farm just outside Colorado Springs, both retired from their earlier professional careers, partly for health reasons, and partly for other reasons.

Jon spends much of his free time maintaining his farm and riding horses. He also has a few dogs, mostly dobermans, whippets, and a few others he's saved from terrible situations every so often. When not farming, riding horses, or working as needed in baseball, he can often be found reading various novels, especially foreign-language ones, or experimenting in his kitchen with various spices or food and/or drink items. he never smokes or drinks, and generally avoids those who do, especially illegally, whenever he can. He believes in Jesus, but rarely attends services at church, for various reasons primarily known only to him among mortals.

The next person I will likely provide a possible profile for from the Colorado Fourteeners' major league personnel will be the bench coach Dymas Georgousopoulos. No, I didn't create any part of their name, but the game did, believe it or not. Please keep an eye on this thread, and I'll try to come up with a sufficiently plausible profile for him here as soon as I can.

Until next time, however, I'd probably best stop here in terms of introducing important members of the Fourteeners' organization here, for I likely have at least a bit of work to do away from the keyboard today, in any case. CD out.
