The owners have no leverage. If the players don't agree to a proposal there will be no season and they'll make no money and everyone knows it. I don't know if they players will meet in the middle at 50% of what the owners want, but if I were the players I wouldn't settle for less than 75%. Unless the players just really just want to play baseball that badly which I doubt.
