FULL STEAM AHEAD, CLAXTON, SLIGO, SAN ALEJO WIN 7TH GAMES
It's full steam ahead for the Claxton Diamonds, Sligo Rovers and San Alejo Montaneros... they were the victors in the seventh-game showdowns in the Islandian Pro Alliance playoffs... Claxton survived a 1-0 thriller to dispose of the Valmara Vipers... and Sligo got the best of the Wynnamac Sundowners 5-2... the Diamonds and the Rovers will tangle for the Ruthlandian Union title... the winner will be in the Pro Cup Finals against the Tycobbian Union champion.
The unheralded San Alejo Montaneros upset the Oxford Red Caps in Tycobbian postseason play... they hung on to top the Red Caps 4-3 in first-round action... the Monties will now jump from the redhot pot into the fire... San Alejo's next challenge is to defeat the Pro Cup favorite Rolling Hills Racers in the TU title round... the Racers rolled by the Tuckanarra Tiger Cats four games to two in the first round of the postseason playoffs.
