Hello OOTP universum,
in the Overall Strategy i can choose the substitution strategy for my pitchers.
Hook Starting Pitchers: Quick to Slow
Hook Relievers: Quick to slow
I looked in the manual and dont understand what this means (english isnt my mother tongues).
With google i found:

To hook means in this case to substitute the player. My first understanding was "to cleave to" the pitcher (like a worm at a hook).
I try setup up a game where the SP can have some runs before he gets hooked (substitute). So i put the slider at slow (to the right).
If my relievers fail (one run), i wanne hook him pretty fast. So i put the slider to left (Quick).
At the first game, my SP pitched 4 innings, 49 PI, earned a run in the first inning and get substituted start inning 5. The RP come in, pichted 3.1 inning with 48 PI and earned 2 runs ( no homerun, just two singles from diffrent batters).
At this point i think i missunderstood the "hook" setting.
The SP just pichted 49 throws, with one earned run. The reliever pitched 48 throws with 2 runs. My expaction was that the SP pichtes until he is tied, after this (inning 6,7 with 100 piches+) the reliever starts his job. The reliever earn a run and become hooked (substituted), because i set him to hooked quick.
Is this just an accident?
