ML: Mirelurks Tutton Gatekeeper Swings Hot Bat, ML Winner: So far in his young career, Tutton Gatekeeper has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Minutemen League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 18-year-old Warwick Mirelurks third baseman hit at a torrid .636 clip as he collected 7 hits in 11 at-bats, 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
This season Gatekeeper is batting .350 with 21 hits, 4 home runs, 12 RBIs, .435 OBP and has scored 12 runs.
RL: RL Star of the Week Honored: At the age of 30, Curtis Slingshot might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Oberland first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .545 batting average. For his efforts Slingshot collected the Railroad League Player of the Week Award.
