Speaking of new missions.... I feel like all I do here is come in and complain about stuff, but I am not a big fan of the "Team of the Decade" missions. The missions themselves are actually fine (though they have the issues common with all missions - not enough alternatives, using the same player multiple times in a mission, using the same player in multiple missions, using players that are already in demand in missions). But the rewards... historical packs? Now I get they can be really good, and that they sell for 10k (right?). But in completing the live missions with my clubs, neither of them got cards worth 10k out of their historical packs - in fact, I have written down that Annandale got 1 Historical gold 80 out of 2 different packs. And one of them I ended up selling for 1k because nobody wanted to buy it after multiple offerings. In fact, looking at Brigadoon's records, it seems my best pack had 3 golds and a silver in it - total "worth" was close to 10k. So the odds are that you complete one of these missions (spending a lot) and end up with 10k worth of historical cards (most of which you'd probably sell).

I guess one way of looking at it is that you spend ... I dunno... 40k on a mission and end up with maybe a 10k rebate (from cards you sell in the AH because they were not good enough to use). With a chance to hit the jackpot.

Of course my understanding is that you would only be doing these if you're working towards the MVP of the Decade mission, which rewards a pretty good card (results may vary!). But these missions are like many of the other non-Live missions in that the individual cards end up being priced in such a way that it's not worth getting the rewards that way (unless you plan on using some of the collection cards). The reward cards are pretty good though.

Also, Stanley!! Your ship has arrived. I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but IMHO the Mays SE card looks very usable to me - 114/88/106 in LF/CF/RF and a pretty good bat. In my batter evaluation spreadsheet I rank him near the top of "all blue" outfielders. I know the price is all over the map right now since the card just came out, but my estimation is that the card is worth in the low 30k (I see the floor on the card at about 29k since it’s a 100, and the ceiling at around 40k - I have him ranked above the 95 OVR Dwight Evans, which is a 30k card, and below the 100 OVR Fred Lynn, which is a 39k card). So I suspect he will end up going for 33-34k. All those auctions asking for outrageous amounts will end and I am sure the card will eventually be offered in that price range. So if you wanted an "affordable" Willie, I think that's your guy.
