As we all know, all good things must come to an end eventually.
And on Tuesday, in San Francisco, the Brewers saw two streaks come to an end: their 7-game winning streak, and Bobby Erbakan's 45-game hitting streak.
In Bobby's defense, San Francisco's Bank of the West Ballpark is a tough place to hit and the stress of the streak was likely starting to build up on him. It seemed to show not only at the plate in this game but also when he botched what appeared to be a routine ground-ball out off the bat of the Velocity lead-off hitter in the bottom of the 8th inning.
Having exceeded the previous longest consecutive game hitting streak in WPK history by 11 games, the feeling around the league is Erbakan's record will likely not be challenged for a very long time, if ever.
