The current problem and one of my biggest complaint right now is that these RFA, after being qualified, may end up signing elsewhere in some minor leagues if you anger them during negotiation by not offering them the money they want. They then sign elsewhere for a fraction of what you offered, which makes no sense. If they sign with the KHL, you just lost that player for whatever number of years (length of their KHL contract).

So even if you qualify them, you need to hurry to get them signed after July 1st, if it's a key player and part of your main roster.
