Think I'm gonna do it though, and I'm no market researcher, so there may be some theme guys up at buy now set at the average, which seems fair enough to me.

Thoughts appreciated.
FYI, most of the time when I replace a player it's because they aren't performing at the level I'm in, so there is almost no chance he will ever go back onto the Active Roster.

In general, if a card would sell for 20k PP or more I will probably sell it when it moves to the Reserve Roster. To me that's a lot of PP to be sitting on (like your 45k PP, that's crazy!!).

As for specifics, my two teams handle it differently. Annandale is historically starved for points - playing a defensive game they don't get a ton of points (I am rethinking this strategy). I don't run a tournament team with them so I am saving and scrimping. So if I replace a player that's worth a lot I do it. More likely, I will sell a player when I am close to having enough to replace him if it will put me over the top (for instance, I sold Dale Murphy yesterday because that gave me enough so I can start looking to buy <name redacted> off the AH>). So Annandale almost never has "good" players on the Reserve Roster.

Brigadoon has been different - because I have been running a ton of tournaments with them, they get a regular infusion of PP. And so given that I am looking to buy a guy who costs 35k PP, when I see a guy I can sell who's a low gold historical, who might sell for 1500 PP, I usually think "eh, why bother!" Even a guy who might bring in some PP, like the 84 OVR Groat, I hang onto "just because."

With Brigadoon I also hang onto historical cards who are not part of a mission because they might be included in a mission someday; if that happens I will sell them fast, because there are those crazy people who just have to complete the collection in the first couple of days. So Brigadoon's Reserve roster is filling up with guys.

So there you have it... the answer is... "it depends!"
