7 July 2296 - The Slog Ghouls Ship Monticello to Fairline Hill Estates
It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the The Slog Ghouls and Fairline Hill Estates Yao Guai finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends The Slog's 34-year-old RHP Sage Monticello to Fairline Hill Estates in a swap for 24-year-old LF Purple Welch. Both teams seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow.
Up to now Monticello has recorded a record of 3-6. In 11 starts he has fanned 32 batters in 62.1 innings with a 6.64 ERA.
Welch appeared in five games for the Yao Guai. In those five games he was mostly used as a defensive replacement. He has two at bats with two strikeouts on the year. His last at bat came May 1.

BL News: Draft Pool Revealed: With the 2296 rookie draft only 90 days away, teams across Brotherhood League are preparing their scouting missions, trying to assess their long-term needs and hoping that they land the prospect that will positively define their club for the next few years. Most of the young men in the draft pool will have gone as far as they can go, but then, a few will surprise and pan out as quality -- or even great -- professional ballplayers.

8 July 2296 - Shaw HS Knuckle Punchers Ship Parkman to Atom
The Shaw HS Knuckle Punchers have finalized a deal with the Atom Cats for the services of 24-year-old LHP Cocked Hat Harris and 21-year-old C Jeremy "Boss" Junkpile. In exchange, the Cats will receive 30-year-old RHP Bob Parkman.
Parkman has taken the mound for 19 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-4 record with a 6.59 ERA. The Atom reliever has limited opposing batters to a .291 batting average.
9 July 2296 - Nordhagen Beach Trades Human and Haircutter for Quincy's Combs
After a week of negotiations, the Party Boys and Gunners have come to terms on a deal that will send 27-year-old RHP Ray Human and 23-year-old 2B Danny Haircutter to Quincy for 19-year-old 2B Ryan Combs.
This year Human has a 4-3 record with a 5.60 ERA. Haircutter has yet to play this season.
Combs was 4 of 15 for a .267 average with two runs and one RBI in limited action with the Gunners.
