The Warlocks may have finished just 81-81 in D353, with a run differential of zero, but that doesn’t mean we’re cannon fodder in the Division Series. We draw the Minneapolis Worldbeaters, who, despite their name, went just 85-77 and dropped five of seven to us during the season. We can’t solve Carl Hubbell in Game 1 as he throws a four-hit shutout and we fall, 4-0. But we even it up, getting to Steve Carlton in Game 2 to take it, 7-4. We get a gem from our own Steve Carlton to take Game 3, 4-2, and have a chance to close it out at home. And we do it, with Jack Stivetts getting plenty of run support to lead us to a 9-2 Game 4 win.
