April Recap - We went 7-10 in April. We started the season 1-4 so 6-6 over the rest of the month is encouraging. Lee Mazzilli hit .403 and is 2nd in the NL in batting average. Omar Moreno has 8 sbs and is 3rd. Mazilli's .973 slugging percentage is good for 2nd. Willie Wilson's 15 game hit streak from last season ended at 20. Tim Leary leads the NL in strikeouts with 36. Zahn has been better than we could have hoped. Bomback and von Ohlen have not pitched well. Hubie Brooks seems overmatched. McClendon has been a bad experiment in RF.

Apr 19, 1981 - Mike Scott throws the first No-Hitter in Mets history, in the 9-0 win over the Expos.

Transactions - May 1. Greg Brock has been tearing up AAA. 7 hr 13 rbi .339/.400/.742. He seems ready. Bringing him up and sending Brooks and Bomback down. Gantner can take over 3B for now.
