The Charles River Trio had them taking the game, so good guess on their part!
Machine has been a true hidden talent on the Cats, something I didn't notice. He only hit four home runs during the regular season, but otherwise he hit well.
In the entire CBO he was really productive as a batter from the catcher position, leading all catchers in WAR (2.0). He finished second behind Egret's Tony Tamez in batting average (.363 to .352). He led all catchers in extra-base hits (45, second was Adam Henderson of East Boston Prep with 35). He led all catchers in doubles (38) and triples (3). He had the most runs (48), but he finished fifth in RBI (45); Stuart Constantino for Quincy had the most with 63. On defense, he was second behind Cozy Kazar of Oberland in defensive efficiency.
Machine definitely has been productive, and he may see himself winning the CBO award for the best catcher.
