What a game! Usually a 4-2 Owen Sound lead halfway through the 3rd period is safe but not this game. Calgary scores THREE goals in the last half of the period to win the Memorial Cup. Misin implodes at the absolute wrong time and gets yanked after allowing the 5th goal. Incredibly enough, all of the Hitmen goals were at even strength.
The second line of Beck-Quinn-Brandson all went -4, by far their worst games of the season.
Calgary Hitmen win the Memorial Cup, dashing the dreams of Attack players, coaches and fans as they tried to bring their first ever Memorial Cup back to their city.
Back to the drawing board. The Attack will lose plenty of great players this offseason but look to reload in 2025-26.
I decided to try something different to make it a little more difficult and introduced league expansion to my
dynasty. In 2025-26 the OHL is expanding as the league welcomes two new teams, the Brantford 99ers and the Milton Steamers (2 cities large enough to support an OHL franchise). This will result in Owen Sound losing more players than usual as the league conducts its expansion draft. Each OHL team can protect 12 players (1 G, 4 D and 7 F) and 16 year olds are exempt.
Owen Sound Protected List:
Goalie: Andrey Misin
Defence: Matt MacDermid (OA), Tristan Forbes, Michael Blaisdell, Brody Bostrom
Forwards: Wade Chalmers, Mark Dietrich (OA), Gunner Schoenroth (OA), Cameron Sigrist, Connor Quinn, Kenton Bignell, Tomas Marsalek
Marsalek was a CHL Import Pick who has decided to come to Canada and play in the OHL in 2025-26.
This post marks the end of this thread but I might start a new thread for the 2025-26 Owen Sound Attack and give quarterly regular season updates.

WOW What a season. that poor goalie crumbled under the bright lights, ya hate to see it.
Beck sure had a career what a player.
