Forgotten phenom

Dale Hendrickson was a Nebraska born lefthander who pitched in the Milwaukee Braves organization from 1955 to 1961. His best year was his first. At 18 years of age Hendrickson hurled 243 innings for the Lawton Braves of the Class D Sooner State league. He won 21 and lost 8 with a miniscule 1.26 ERA giving up only 4 home runs in those 243 innings of work. The following year of 1956 Dale Hendrickson went 11-2 but managed to pitch in only 25 games. It appears arm problems slowly ended his promise despite several years of perseverance.
