6-11 in July...not good that half of my team is in a slump. Looking at you, Hayashi and Kawamoto! Still, that big trade helped resolve the situation in left field, and let me send Malik Collymore to Seibu for a minor leaguer outfielder to recoup some budget. If Kota performs like he has over the last few seasons, the next two months are gonna be FUN. Anything to get some cushion between us and SoftBank (and Orix and Seibu are nibbling on our heels too!)
Once Daichi Ishii returns from injury, we can figure out what to do with Yuto Kanakubo, if he stays or if Taiki Ono starts.
With Alan Busenitz about to retire, Isamu Hiratsuka looks ready to get promoted and help with next season. No need to rush him to the majors when our bullpen ERA is already best in the league.
