GM Notebook - September 1, 2029

Ishii comes back, Aoki goes out...great. Still, we went 15-12 in August to right the ship.
We're 1.5 ahead of SoftBank and 3.5 ahead of Orix. Most importantly, 9 ahead of Seibu, so a playoff spot is all but certain.

I'm a bit worried about the clubhouse personalities of guys like Kawamoto and Ota - they seem a bit brash. Maybe it's the passions of youth, but I have to keep an eye on that.
Speaking of youth, Shinji Nakamura has impressed in the short time he's been with the big club. I think the starting job's his with Miyake gone.

Our pitchers had a rough go this month, with guys like Kanakubo and Bergeron taking it a bit on the chin. Still, if I can just get ALL these pieces working together, we'll crush it like we did at the start of the season.
