In the West, Owen Sound and Windsor move on as expected while Sarnia and Saginaw both pull off upsets. Kitchener does a good job of stopping MacDermid, limiting the all star defenceman to only 2 assists in 5 games. Unheralded rookie Spencer Strowbridge had a nice first round series with 2 goals and 2 assists in 5 games to help Owen Sound outlast Kitchener. The Attack will have to play much better against a Saginaw team which they eliminated in the 1st round last year who are now all a year older. Saginaw has much of the same players as last year and they will try to get their revenge.
