Don't know that this is much of an improvement, but it's the best I can do. This comes from Marc Okkonen's original research as he was preparing his book, 2000 CUPS OF COFFEE. I'm sure that was the source of your image above, as well as the image on Baseball-reference.com. This is an extraction from the team photo of the 1913 Lincoln Township Wildcats. There are a couple of Lincoln Townships in Iowa, and I think that's the state where the team was located for two reasons: 1) Richardson died in Whiting, Iowa; and 2) the caption to the photo indicates that the Wildcats had their own diamond in a pasture on the Theodore Delashmutt farm, and I found a census record with Delashmutt located in Whiting, Iowa in 1940.
P.S. I've added a 1919 map showing that Lincoln Township was adjacent to Whiting, Iowa at that time.
