GM Notebook - July 1, 2031

I'm willing to forgive a rough interleague record (10-15 in June) because of all the injures we've had. Yamamoto and Santana will be back around the All-Star Game, Kikuo Aoki and Aatu Puikkonen are both gone for the season now. The Hawks went 17-8 in June and now have a 5.5 game lead on us. We're still 4.5 ahead of Kirin, so I'm not panicking...yet.

Interleague title this year was won by the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, who went 18-6. Woof.

Oh, looks like Orix is looking to give Taiki Ono a new home. Sure, we'll bring him back in a trade. Buffaloes get one of our failed pitcher prospects, Motoshi Oshta.

I'm consistently surprised at how Isamu Hiratsuka does when starting. 2.11 ERA over 3 starts and 21 1/3 IP. May have to give him more if he keeps that up.
