Everyone who was drafted is in the db. 99% of the UDFA's too (well, they're all in the db but one or two might not show in-game if if they were rated really low).
So if you don't see a player, then use the search function to search for them, you'll likely see them then.
They may or may not be on the right team though, depending on the game mode you chose and other steps you took. Here's some clarification on how that works.

Live start: No draft. All players automatically load on the team that drafted/signed them, if they've already signed irl (Only a couple picks haven't signed yet and Crochet is not one of them). If they haven't signed, you can do a search for them and move them to their team in commish mode.

Short season mode (Not Live): The draft gets scheduled for a couple days after you start. What happens then is up to you. You can have the draft run as normal, in which case the ai will choose guys and they won't necessarily go to the same teams as in real life.
Or, once you go into the draft screen, before you start the draft, you can hit the button to 'load real 2020 results'. That will load all players to the team that picked them irl, and finish the draft. Then just finish the day, and guys will be on their 'right' teams.

Full 162-game quickstart/new standard game: The draft runs as normal with the AI picking, so guys are not on their 'right' teams. You might be able to use the 'load real 2020 results' in the draft screen on draft day too, though I'm not 100% sure of that.
