9 April 2297 - BL: Witch Hats Edge Past Party Boys, 7-6, in 10
The Salem Witch Hats weathered an outstanding game by Nordhagen Beach first baseman Dustin Mart to topple the Party Boys, 7-6. Mart belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Dan Beantown, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. Nordhagen Beach drops to 0-2.
The Witch Hats procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Tyler Spronk. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
Spronk said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
The Party Boys used seven pitchers in the game. Night Demon Archaki gave up the game-winning hit to suffer his first loss.

Boots Yellowhair had two hits, including a home run, and two runs batted in to help boost the Ghouls to their first win.

Blaine Phrasemaker pitched 8.0 innings of shutout ball, allowing just six hits and striking out 10.
9 April 2297 - Schmidt Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games
Salem third baseman Pistol Schmidt keeps on racking up hits every time he plays.
His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit at Vim! Park of Salem today. The Witch Hats took the 7-6 victory over the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys.
"I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Schmidt said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky."
Pistol Schmidt singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
9 April 2297 - IL: Silver Shroud Win Thriller, 4-3
The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud beat the Starlight Lady Killers, 4-3, at Hubris Comics Park. Fort Hagen third baseman Micah Morals had an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Fort Hagen reliever Curtis Thriceshot picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chris Schneier was saddled with the loss. The victory makes Fort Hagen 1-1.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Morals hit a fastball from Chris Schneier for a run-scoring double. The Silver Shroud, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Morals said after the game.

The Synths had a big lead but had to hold off the Radstags comeback. Swift Hendrix had four hits and scored twice. Justin Daris drive in four.
Abernathy 7 at Sunshine Tidings 4, 13 inn.
The Adamantium used a passed ball on a Cory DaRoad pitch to take the lead. They added two more runs in the 13th to claim their first victory.
9 April 2297 - ML: Mirelurks Top Cats, 9-5
Warwick third baseman Tutton Gatekeeper played a vital role in his team's 9-5 triumph over Atom. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Warwick. Atom falls to 0-2.
Brad Krol came through for Warwick with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first. The second baseman went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 RBI.
"Good to get a win," said Gatekeeper, "but it's a long season."

First baseman Cody Flatt was 3 for 3 with a walk, a double, a home run, a run, and two RBI to lead the Red Rockets to their first victory.
Goodneighbor 2 at Quincy 8
Brian Drinkwater stayed hot, going 1 for 2 with two walks and a three-run home run. He scored twice and now has 6 RBI in just two games.
9 April 2297 - 20 Games in a Row for Rose
The Goodneighbor Hancocks may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 8-2 to the Quincy Gunners, but John Rose continued to hit like a god.
The center fielder collected 2 hits in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Rose is playing great and is on fire right now," Hancocks manager Jeremy Whiteplate said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Rose was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss."
John Rose singled in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
9 April 2297 - RL: Scrappers Get Close Win Over Yao Guai, 10-9
The Egret Scrappers did just enough to sneak past the Fairline Hill Estates Yao Guai, 10-9, at BosCom Circle. Egret left fielder Paladin Danse, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner was Egret reliever Brian Dingo, now 1-0. The loser was Bus Paula. The loss puts Fairline Hill Estates at 1-1.
Egret used the timely hitting of Thinker Brown to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Scrappers on top, 9-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Brown.

Matt Udder allowed two earned runs in 7.2 innings with four hits, eight walks, and four strikeouts. The T-51s did not score their first run until the bottom of the 5th.
