Yeah, I was trying to take into account a few factors. First, how does "Texas" end up in the opposite league from Boston in the World Series? Thanks Bethesda geeks for not picking them to play against the Cubs or something. At least pick a correct league team!!!
Second was considering what a nearly 200-year-old league would look like.
Third, the Canada problem, so Toronto was out (and the possibility of there being Montreal in the league).
Fourth, the split in the timeline (approximately 1945) of the Fallout universe from our universe. The first thing I did was to keep the Dodgers and Giants right where they belonged. That meant considering how the dominoes would have started falling in the 1950s and elsewhere once the timelines split. LA and SF would still get franchises, but they would be new franchises. That means the 1969 expansion probably did not happen the same way. But you can see the KC Royals and SD Padres exist. So do the Milwaukee Brewers, which were a product of the Seattle Pilots disaster. Maybe Toronto had a franchise, too, but they cannot exist by 2077.
Fifth, I just filled in teams where they either seemed right or I like them (hello, Pels!!!).
Sixth, I rolled for finish. Other than Boston and Texas being division champions, the rest of the division finishes depended on the dice. Once I had every division finished, I populated the seven-team playoffs per league.
Voila! More backstory!
