I'll echo this. You don't even need that beefy a computer to run even the latest games (though it helps). They are rather large downloads though. But if that's not your thing, starting with Fallout 1 or 2 is still loads of fun, even though they're 90s top down games that can run on a potato. Asking certain segments of the fan base, they'll even tell you 1 and 2 are "better".
