20 May 2297 - BL: Assaultrons Need Extra Innings to Top Ghouls, 3-2

The Easy Town Assaultrons had to overcome a good performance from The Slog pitcher Edwin Mass to claim a 3-2 win in 10 innings at Tarberry Field Forever. Mass went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Easy Town reliever Aaron Geneva was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Wonder Boy Fultz. The win for the Assaultrons lifted their record to 10-9.

Easy Town used a timely hit from Unstoppable Hammond to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Assaultrons ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Graham Route, the Easy Town manager.

County Crossing 5 at Nordhagen Beach 3
The County Crossing Bloodbugs beat the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys, 5-3. County Crossing pitcher and Cochituate, Massachusetts, native Bad Company Grognak led the way. William Whitehurst earned the save for County Crossing, his 6th of the year. The triumph puts County Crossing at 12-7 for the season.

County Crossing relied on the hitting of Mushy Levy to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Bloodbugs on top, 3-2. For the game, Levy had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

Salem 6 at Finch Farm 12
It was a magical day at the plate for Finch Farm Four Leafs second baseman Alec Bullets. The 29-year-old Bullets helped lift Finch Farm to a 12-6 win over the Salem Witch Hats today at Finch Family Park. Bullets smacked 5 hits in 5 at-bats to spark his club to victory.

Alec Bullets singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

So far this season Bullets has hit .414 with 2 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 16 times.

20 May 2297 - IL: Church Goes on Rampage Against Chemists

Jesus Church was the King of Swing today at Valentine Detective Agency Field today in the 18-2 Starlight Lady Killers win over the Sunshine Tidings Chemists. The Starlight left fielder stepped into the batter's box 6 times against the Sunshine Tidings and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him.

"Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt good. 5-for-6 isn't bad for your batting average either."

Jesus Church hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, tripled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

A look at his current stats shows Church with a .372 average, 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has played in 19 games.

Fort Hagen 1 at Lexington 4
Lexington right-hander Pete Pembroke pitched his team to victory over the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud at Super Duper Mart Stadium. The final score was 4-1. Pembroke picked up the win for Lexington, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. The Synths have an impressive 12-7 record.

The Synths picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

Abernathy 4 at Concord 2
Getting an impressive start from Jason Woods, Abernathy beat Concord by the score of 4-2. T-Bone Heagy was credited with the save for Abernathy, his 2nd of the season. Abernathy, with the win, is 6-13.

It could have been a different outcome for Abernathy, had it not been for Donny Kowalski, the top prospect . Kowalski contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Abernathy up, 1-0.

20 May 2297 - ML: Dominant Performance by Eloquent in Goodneighbor Win

The Atom Cats and Goodneighbor Hancocks were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Goodneighbor rode a fine outing from starter Quincy Eloquent to victory over the Atom Cats at Coolest Field in Town. The final score was 7-2. The win gives Goodneighbor a season record of 14-5.

Eloquent allowed 2 runs over 9 innings. He also racked up 8 strikeouts.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Goodneighbor manager Jeremy Whiteplate.

Quincy 10 at University Point 0
The Quincy Gunners shut out the University Point Deathclaws 10-0 today behind the strong pitching of Matt Ranger. Ranger surrendered only 7 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 6.

Jamaica Plain 5 at Warwick 4
Jamaica Plain starter Chris Teddybear pitched well against the Warwick Mirelurks at The Homestead. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-4. Teddybear went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-4. The win gives the Red Rockets a record of 5-14.

In the top of the first, Cody Flatt hit a 2-run triple. The 1st triple of the season for the Jamaica Plain first baseman put the Red Rockets on top, 2-0.

20 May 2297 - RL: Knuckle Punchers Roll to 8-1 Win Over Yao Guai

The home crowd had a good time watching the Fairline Hill Estates Yao Guai and Shaw HS Knuckle Punchers get after it.

The Shaw HS Knuckle Punchers picked up a win at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury, knocking off the Fairline Hill Estates Yao Guai, 8-1. Starting pitcher Brad Westing was a big reason why. Westing, now 3-2, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 1 run.

Rocky Gourd hit a bases-clearing triple off Bow Rome in the bottom of the third, which put the Knuckle Punchers in front, 3-1. In addition to the triple, Gourd had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.

"We had a good game plan," Westing said, "and we were able to execute it."

Egret 7 at Diamond City 1
Egret turned a good effort from starter Phil Wallace into a win over the Diamond City Swatters at The Great Green Jewel. The final score was 7-1. The win elevated the Scrappers to 10-9.

The Scrappers got a big at-bat from right fielder Crops Gerdenheimer. For the game, Gerdenheimer was 1 for 5 with a home run. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Egret a 2-1 lead.

Oberland 4 at Vault 81 5
Erns Gold was a major contributor to the 5-4 Vault 81 win over Oberland. The Dwellers first baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Vault 81 has now won 3 in a row.

Gold had a timely hit for Vault 81 in the bottom of the sixth. With Oberland trailing 4-3, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Vault 81.
Shaw HS now owns a record of 9-10.
