21 May 2297 - BL: Ghouls Eke Out Win Against Assaultrons, 4-3

Behind a solid performance from shortstop Lernz Tentsleep, the The Slog Ghouls defeated the Easy Town Assaultrons, 4-3. Tentsleep was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs for the Ghouls. Picking up the win was David Kiwi. He went 8.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. The left--hander struck out 5 and walked 2. The victory gives The Slog a record of 12-8.

The game was at a stalemate until pitcher David Kiwi came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Easy Town pitcher Beanpole Callaway, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting The Slog on top, 4-3.

Tentsleep called the win "a team effort."

County Crossing 7 at Nordhagen Beach 10
The Nordhagen Beach Party Boys knocked off the County Crossing Bloodbugs, 10-7, at Slocum's Joe Seaside Stadium. Brian Masterson was a big reason Nordhagen Beach won. The second baseman went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Sia Abber earned the save for Nordhagen Beach, his 5th of the year. The win puts Nordhagen Beach at 7-13.

Tommy Talkington tagged a home run off Blaine Phrasemaker in the bottom of the first. His 3-run blast put the Party Boys on top, 4-2. In all, Talkington had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

Salem 6 at Finch Farm 3
The performance of Tyler Spronk proved critical in helping Salem beat Finch Farm, 6-3. The Witch Hats left fielder went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Dan Beantown sewed up the save, his 4th. The Witch Hats raised their record to 8-12.

Spronk had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 fastball from Mike Safeman, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Witch Hats a 5-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Spronk.

21 May 2297 - IL: Ramos Excels, But Lady Killers Win

Brightsun Ramos did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Sunshine Tidings Chemists from losing, 11-6, to the Starlight Lady Killers at Valentine Detective Agency Field. Ramos was 4-4 with a home run and 3 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The win elevated the Lady Killers to 14-6.

Starlight second baseman Wild Cannon contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 36th hit of the season and put the Lady Killers ahead, 6-5.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Cannon told the Starlight Herald.

Abernathy 4 at Concord 1
The Abernathy Adamantium beat the Concord Radstags, 4-1. Abernathy pitcher and Boston, Massachusetts, native Joe Penaltybox led the way. T-Bone Heagy collected save number 3. The Adamantium sport a record of 7-13.

Penaltybox allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings for the Adamantium. He walked 1 and struck out 7.

Fort Hagen 3 at Lexington 2
Fort Hagen Silver Shroud starter All Day Acosta was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Lexington Synths, 3-2. Curtis Thriceshot earned the save, his 5th, for the Silver Shroud. The 4th-place Silver Shroud are now 9-11, the Synths 12-8.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jim Tiller, the top prospect ? Tiller stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Fort Hagen up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

21 May 2297 - ML: Hancocks Win, 6-2, at Atom

The Goodneighbor Hancocks got a strong performance from pitcher Bruce Iddings, who stymied the Atom offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Coolest Field in Town. Atom has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Good Don Duck, the Goodneighbor right fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to make the score 3-0, Hancocks. For the game, Duck went 1 for 4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.

Duck told a Goodneighbor Today reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

Quincy 6 at University Point 8
The Quincy Gunners got a superb performance from catcher Stuart Costantino. Still, it wasn't enough to beat University Point. The Deathclaws won the game, 8-6. Costantino was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was Marc Pondsip, his 4th. The victory puts University Point at 8-12.

Kory Richardson, who is tied for 2nd in the ML in triples with 3, chipped in for University Point with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

Jamaica Plain 2 at Warwick 0
Jamaica Plain Red Rockets starter Will Rope pitched a strong game against the Warwick Mirelurks at The Homestead, leading the Red Rockets to victory, 2-0. Jamaica Plain, with the win, climbs to 6-14.

The Red Rockets got a big at-bat from first baseman Cody Flatt, who in the top of the third hit a run-scoring double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Red Rockets on top, 2-0.

21 May 2297 - RL: Mutfruit, Knuckle Punchers Finish Off Yao Guai, 10-3

The Shaw HS Knuckle Punchers topped the Fairline Hill Estates Yao Guai, 10-3, in Railroad League action at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury. The standout performance belonged to Shaw HS pitcher and Boston, Massachusetts, native Nick Mutfruit. Shaw HS now has a record of 10-10 with the win.

Mutfruit pitched a complete game for Shaw HS. The 32-year-old right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 9 during his 124-pitch performance.

Egret 5 at Diamond City 11
No one was more impactful than Nasty Byrd in the 11-5 Diamond City win over Egret. Byrd, who is tied for 3rd in the RL in stolen bases with 4, went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The win has Diamond City at 7-13.

The Swatters got a lift from right fielder Wayne Lacy, who in the bottom of the first hit a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season put the Swatters on top, 2-0.

Oberland 3 at Vault 81 6
The timely hitting of Erns Gold helped the Vault 81 Dwellers down the Oberland T-51s, 6-3. Gold hit 3 home runs for the Dwellers. Vault 81 now has a 4-game win streak.

The Dwellers got a big hit from shortstop Knud Bather. In the bottom of the sixth, Bather pounded a 2-run home run to left-center. His 4th home run of the season put the Dwellers ahead, 4-2.
"We had a good game plan," Mutfruit said, "and we were able to execute it."
