In surprise announcement, Cheol-han Lee steps away from the game
(Well, it was a bad season for Cheol-han, but I honestly did not see this one coming.)
With the Brewers having been crowned WPK Champions, Cheol-han Lee announced yesterday that he considered it a good time for him to gracefully step away from the game. It was clear that the future Hall of Famer was a mere shell of himself this season but many believed that with his league highest contract having several years left he would try to hang on a bit longer.
The team wishes him well and thanks him for his years of service and it was announced that in a ceremony early next season his uniform number will be the first one officially retired by the Denver Brewers.
Thanks for the years of service, Cheol-han!
(EDIT: Hmm, I just noticed that those career numbers appear to be his numbers as a Brewer. His actual career numbers are much more impressive than that, as he has over 200 wins, etc.)
