Amed Rosario last year was the worst NL starting shortstop by most defensive values that baseball-ref makes readily available to non-paying customers. Few were close; Trea Turner, Kevin Newman, Tatis jr.; some of them can at least hit. Rosario can't do anything.
Rosario drives me insane. Every time a ball is hit about ten feet ot the left of second base, and the camera follows it. The second baseman appears in the picture. And then Rosario casually jogs into shot, too. Never dives for a ball. Just let's them roll.
But, knowing the Mets, Brodie Van Braindeadson will package Gimenez with whatever juicy pitching prospect (Peterson!) he can remember and trade them to, some forgotten AL Central place for yet another DH with $90m left on his contract.
M. Donald Grant made better trades than this idiot.
