David Beane has quietly put up season after season of offensive quality in his WPK career and at age 41, still among the more feared hitters in the game, Beane reaches a milestone on the the opening day of the 1978 season as his first of two hits in his first game with new team Philadelphia gives him 2,000 hits for this career.
